Lifting Chains

To ensure optimum safety in lifting operations, it is essential to choose the right lifting equipment for the right application.

In addition to lifting slings, round slings, one way slings, and steel cables, Metaltis now also has lifting chains in its range.

Lifting chains consist of a top link, optional shortening hooks, the chain itself, and lifting hooks at the bottom. The top link is attached to the crane hook of the hoisting mechanism, the lifting hooks to the load. There are both single chains and multi-leg chains (2-, 3- and 4-leg). The advantage of multi-leg lifting chains is that the load can be lifted more evenly. Shortening hooks make it easier to hoist a load horizontally and stably. 

Metaltis offers a wide range of lifting chains and accessories in all common diameters.  Each chain can be identified by a unique serial number which is indicated on the chain identification plate as well as on the certificate. Only use lifting equipment provided with a legible identification label.
